No Gym, Just Results, 30 Day Shred, #26

Its day 26 and I just finished Level 2! I am not sure why but the past few days have seemed much harder. My muscles are achy and sore. My body feels like lead and its much harder to get through the workouts. Part of it may be the average of 6 hours of sleep a night I have gotten or I need more hydration. So this weekend is going to be devoted to rocking out the last 4 days with lots of rest and water!

What is your favorite move of the workout so far? I always try to focus on the moves I enjoy during the 20 minutes so the tough ones go faster. Recently I have enjoyed the leg extensions with the overhead press. It reminds me of a yoga workout with weights because of the balancing on one leg. My leg muscles are also more toned which is nice to see and motivation as you get through the move!

As I move into the weekend I have 3 workouts in a row to wrap up the 30 days. I can't believe its gone by so fast! See you tomorrow!

Cindy's Fat Burning Cocoa Smoothie Recipe: Cindy's Flat Abs Diet

Hey Friends! I just found this cocoa smoothie I love! There are a couple of key ingredients that make this one super special! Check it out!

Your friend and trainer,

Ingredients:

-1 cup of non-fat milk/coconut water

-2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses

-1 tablespoon
unsweetned cocoa

-1/2 tablespoon cinnamon

-1 scoop of vanilla whey protein

Blend ingredients together then add in one cup of ice and blend again. Enjoy!

Study Says Losing Weight Online Is Effective

We couldn't be more pleased about a new report out this week confirming what we (and you) knew all along.  It shows that losing weight online is an effective option...but you have to stick to it.  

The more people use interactive weight management websites, the more weight loss they maintain, according to a Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research study.  It highlighted the important role online-supported fitness plays in maintaining a healthy level of accountability as part of keeping the weight off.




Translation: Hit the ExerciseTV Community and join a group. Share your journey from the body you have to the body you want.  The challenges and setbacks you face can be as much of an inspiration as the successes you achieve.

No Gym, Just Results, 30 Day Shred, #24

Good Morning. Its day #24! I can't believe its already more than 1/2 way over. I woke up this morning sore, even after a rest day yesterday, but once I got dressed and turned the DVD on I was motivated to do Level 3 again. This is the 3rd time I have done Level 3 along with a Metabolism Boost workout on Sunday. Level 3 is HARD. I am getting better at it though. Today I managed to survive the 1st two circuits and then by circuit 3 was having a hard time. Its all plank moves followed by rockstar jumps. I think I have mentioned those a few times before!

Here is an example of the rockstar jumps...and let me tell you by the time you get to them, your body does not want to leave the ground! Mine are not even close to this!!

My plank poses have improved dramatically however which gives me hope that one day I can do these too! I actually enjoy doing them now because I can see how strong my back and shoulders have become!

Tomorrow is a rest day (the weekends are my tough workouts) and then onto the weekend!

How To Stay Healthy at Happy Hour: Cindy's Flat Abs Diet

As most of you know, I am back from my honeymoon and in full fitness swing with all of your questions! One important topic about vacations and fitness I wanted to bring up was alcohol. Some of us like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage every once in a while, especially during special occasions and vacation. Here are a few tips from me that I used on my honeymoon to enjoy my time without throwing my healthy lifestyle out the window. Remember, only eat protein and veggies when you're drinking--stay away from the carbohydrates because alcohol is pure sugar! Check it out!
