Mark Coogan


Often referred to as one of the best all-around athletes on the distance running scene, Mark Coogan has broken four minutes in the mile, been ranked as one of the nation's top steeplechasers, and run in the Olympic marathon. In 1996 he represented the U.S. at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in the marathon. He was also a seven time member of the U.S. World Cross Country Team and a four time National Road Champion at the 5K, 10K, 12K and 15K. In 1989, he became the first Massachusetts person to break the four minute mile when he ran a 3:58 at a meet in Dedham.
